Christmas Pictures '09

Well, we took "E" to get his Christmas portraits made last weekend. I have to say that they turned out really well. Of course, I am a little bias. We had a great time getting them made. Afterward, we finished our Christmas shopping by picking up those last few gifts. It was nice to spend time together as a family. Here are a few of the pictures . . .

And finally, Nana wanted "E's" picture made in a Santa Claus outfit that she had gotten him. Russ kept saying, "Son, I am so sorry that you are having to do this, I will not let them do it to you next year." However, I thought he looked adorable. You can be the judge . . .

If we do not post anything before Christmas, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! We cannot wait to spend our first Christmas together as a family of three. Well, if you count the dogs, which we do, we cannot wait to spend Christmas together as a family of five!

Thankful for Our Son and Our Families

This year, we are most thankful for a beautiful and healthy seven month old baby boy! He is such a delight. He is truly a gift from God. We are so honored and so blessed to be able to raise such a precious gift. Thank you, God!

We had a great Thanksgiving. We travelled to Northwest Georgia to be with the Turners. Although it was a ten hour drive, "E" did exceptionally well. He slept the entire way down there and although he was awake for 6 hours on the way home, I was able to keep him entertained. It was great spending time with the Turners. "E" especially had a good time playing with all of his little cousins. They had a great time playing with him, too! And, of course, the food was delicious!

Seven Months

Baby "E" is seven months old! As I realize how quickly time seems to pass and how fast he is growing up, there is a little bit of sadness. However, with each and every new milestone and with each and every smile, there is so much joy and happiness that he brings to my life. "E" has truly blessed my life in ways that I could have never imagined. I find so much pleasure in watching him explore his surroundings and learn how to go from standing to sitting and learn how to crawl with his toy still in hand. My baby!

The Weekend Before Thanksgiving

The Holiday Season is finally here. This year is even more special than usual; it is the first Holiday Season that we will share with our precious little boy! Having "E" here just gives us one more reason to be thankful! We also started the Holiday Season off by helping my mom and dad put up their Christmas Tree. Having "E" there to "help" decorate was an added bonus for them, as well. There is nothing like having a grandchild around during Christmas.

Since this is E's first Christmas, I have had the joy of getting his Christmas stocking. I have been shopping for that "perfect" stocking since before he was born. I finally found it online a few weeks ago and ordered it. It should be here in time for Christmas. I have also started the tradition of getting "E" a Christmas ornament each year. The ornament is suppose to symbolize "E's" year, whether it be a toy, cartoon character, or something that he really liked during the year. This year, I looked and looked and was really drawing a blank. However, my mom and I were out shopping on Saturday and when I saw this ornament, I just knew that it was the one. I am sure you are curious to find out what it is, but you will just have to wait until I give it to "E" and I will post a picture.

The First of Many

Well, it is official, I am a blogger! I have been wanting to do this for a long time, but have just never taken the time to do it. I really do not know what the future holds for my blog, but I am sure that it will evolve into something wonderful as time progresses.
